Shugoryuu Karate is a dojo located in a new area and they wanted to reach out to potential clients in the vicinity. Nexus WebWorks was approached to design a website that would provide information about the dojo’s classes, pricing, trainers, location, and integrated booking pop-up. The objective of the website was to attract new clients and increase enrollment for the classes.
The challenge for Nexus WebWorks was to design a website that would be SEO optimized and provide all the relevant information to potential clients. The website needed to be visually appealing, user-friendly and provide a seamless experience for clients who wanted to book classes. The copy needed to be written in a manner that would attract the target audience and provide all the necessary information to help potential clients make a decision. Additionally, the website needed to be mobile-responsive and provide an easy booking experience through the integrated booking pop-up.
We created all of the assets to give potential participants all of the information that they need, including a video that would inspire people to join. The flow of the website was also designed to showcase the authority of the Sensei’s as experts in their field.
In order to inspire people to join, we created a custom video that focused on the benefits of Karate.
This would help people to make a decision to further their own lives. Considering that video, along with case studies and testimonials are the most powerful forms of content marketing, it’s essential to place a focus on it for every business.

Instead of sending potential clients to the contact page, we specifically designed the “Book Now” button into the header with a custom built popup.
The popup functions as an instant contact form, no matter where the prospect might be, and streamlines the entire process. We also added value by convincing the client to give potential prospects a free lesson.
All of this was important, because from a UX perspective, somebody is far more likely to make a booking with an instant popup than heading to an ordinary contact page form.
This is also compounded by the fact that popups have an average conversion rate of 11.09%.
The popup is directly linked to the client’s email address, and allows for easy 2-way conversation so that the client can take the sales process further.
We ensured that the website was fully mobile responsive. We conducted extensive testing on different devices to identify any areas that needed improvement and made necessary adjustments to ensure that the site displayed correctly on all devices.
We also optimized the website for speed. Page speed is a critical ranking factor for search engines and is also important for providing a good user experience. If a website takes too long to load, visitors are more likely to leave the site and look elsewhere.
To improve page speed, Nexus WebWorks implemented several strategies. They optimized the images on the site to reduce their size, which helped to improve load times. They also used a content delivery network (CDN) to distribute the site’s content across multiple servers, which helped to improve load times for visitors in different regions.
Additionally, the team minimized the use of plugins and scripts on the site, as these can also slow down page speed. They also ensured that the site’s code was clean and optimized for speed.
By improving the website’s mobile responsiveness and page speed, Nexus WebWorks helped to ensure that visitors to the Shugoryuu Karate Dojo website had a positive user experience. This, in turn, helped to improve the site’s performance in search engine rankings, as search engines prioritize sites that offer a good user experience.
